Marsha McQueen Pierce

Marsha McQueen Pierce, 78, of Carmel, Indiana passed away on December 15, 2022 surrounded by family. Marsha was born on July 21, 1944, in New Orleans, LA to the late William and Jehane McQueen. Marsha was a beloved wife, loving mother, and adoring grandmother. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and devoted husband of 57 years, Joseph C. Pierce, Jr., and her children, Joseph (Kimberly) Pierce III and Jennifer (David) Phebus along with her grandchildren, Jack, Carson, Sophia, Sabrina and David, whom she delighted in. Marsha was born and raised in the south, and became an honorary Hoosier when moving to Indiana with her family in the 70’s. She had a successful real estate career for 20+ years in Carmel and volunteered with multiple fundraising efforts over the years. Marsha had the amazing gift of making people feel welcome and comfortable and always having a word of encouragement for others. Her legacy is the love, care and concern she provided for her family, whom she was deeply devoted to and cherished. She will be deeply missed. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Marsha’s name to The American Cancer Society - Ovarian Cancer or The American Heart Association, along with a word of encouragement for those in need.
