Chris Pfeffinger passed away Thursday July 4, 2019. She was born February 16, 1939, in Walshville, IL, the first child to parents Ida and Jesse Titsworth. Her siblings came to include Larry, Elvis, Allan, Dennis, and Rex.
Chris enjoyed a life of active and lively experience that took her from Litchfield, Illinois to Hollywood, Florida; from Cleveland to Charlotte and finally to Indianapolis, where she indulged various pursuits including knowing more than the contestants on Jeopardy!, knowing better than the referees in NCAA basketball games, and knowing what her husband ought to be doing at any given time. Her professional fields spanned law, insurance, and retail, but ultimately she decided that, for her, taking her grandkids on trips was more rewarding than composing official correspondence or managing overstock.
She is survived by her loving husband Ron Pfeffinger, daughter Sheila Summers, and son Eric Pfeffinger. She is also keenly missed by her five grandchildren — Sarah, Kate, Meg, Tulia, and Rufus — and her two great-grandchildren, Arthur and Zada. Her dog Clooney is withholding comment, but seems wistful.
A Memorial Gathering will take place Saturday July 13, 2019 at 10:00 am. Leppert Mortuary - Carmel.
900 N. Rangeline Rd Carmel, IN 46032.
