A proud 1964 graduate of Horace Mann High School, Gary, Indiana,
Reg devoted his life to education. He was a teacher, a principal, moving up to Assistant Superintendent and finally Superintendent of the Whiting School system. He steadily furthered his education, earning his Bachelors and Masters Degree from Indiana University and his PhD from Indiana State University, while climbing his beloved education ladder. He retired to Boynton Beach, Florida in 2003, returning to Indiana in 2016.
Reg is survived by his ex wife Barbara (Vurva), his daughter Christine (Jeff Rice) and his grandson Steven. Reg was preceded in death by his son Steve, his father, Ralph, mother, Vivian (Wilfong) and sister Marilyn. He will be remembered by many friends, relatives and former students.
