Richard Leon Perry
March 26, 1941 – September 23, 2020
Richard was born on March 26, 1941 to James and Rose Marie Perry in Indianapolis, Indiana. Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Susan Perry. Together they raised three children, son Michael Perry [Teresa], son Steven Perry, and daughter Malinda Taylor. Richard is survived by his sister Patricia Payne and brother James Perry (Judy). Richard will forever be remembered by his grandchildren Angie Walls [Ursula], Anthony Perry, Chloe Taylor, and great grandchild Haven Walls.
Richard worked for many years at Howard W. Sams as a lithographer. Upon his retirement, he was best remembered for his outstanding work ethic and his eye for design and printwork.
Richard's passion was taking care of his family. Richard also enjoyed the outdoors, and he combined his two favorite things to make forever lasting memories with his family. Richard loved fishing and boating and was happy to finish his day on the grill and with his slice of apple pie.
Richard was known for his sweetest salt of the earth honest soul and will be greatly missed. Beloved husband, father, grandpa, and brother. You live on in our hearts. Gone, but never forgotten.
A celebration of life for Richard will be held Friday October 2nd, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at Leppert Mortuary, Carmel Chapel. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.leppertmortuarycarmel.com for the Perry family.

I remember your dad driving us to my first concert ever. Billy Squire and Def Leppard, and three concerts after that Malinda I am so sorry for your loss. Your dad was part of stories I shared with my kids as recently as a week ago. I shared the time we came back to your house on the moped and I was crawling past your front room window and your dad unknowingly to me was laying on the couch just wondering what the hell I was doing. Still makes me laugh. You my friend were definitely blessed, he was awesome

I was saddened to hear of Richard's passing.
I remember in March, 2020, I stopped you in the street to chat with you as I hadn't seen or spoken to you or Richard in a while. It was good to catch up briefly.
