January 31, 1968 - April 23, 2025
After a courageous battle with stage IV colon cancer, Robert “Rob” Brinkman passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and strength.
Rob was a beloved father, son, and friend. He lived his life with quiet strength, determination, and an unwavering love for his family. Over the past five years, he faced his battle with cancer with remarkable strength and perseverance, never losing his sense of humor or his fighting spirit.
Born in Lafayette and Raised in Attica, Indiana, Rob built a life grounded with hard work. He went on to attend Purdue University, where he earned his degree in Computer Technology and proudly remained a Boilermaker for life. Rob found joy in the things he loved — attending car shows, riding his Slingshot through town, spending quiet afternoons by the lake, watching basketball and football, and gathering with friends at his favorite local bars.
He is survived by his children, Joshua and Reagan, who were the light of his life. Rob's memory will live on through the countless stories, lessons, and moments he shared with those fortunate enough to know him. A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at Roots Burger Bar in Carmel, Indiana on May 18th from 2-6pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a CashApp account that will be created in order to purchase a bench in Rob’s honor.
Though Rob is no longer with us his love, laughter, and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
