Sharon was my good friend through our teaching, but mostly during our Tri Kappa years together.  I would go to her home and help her prepare for each and every Tri Kappa meeting when she was slipping and needed help in presiding as President.  We ALL wanted Sharon to feel good about herself so our former officers and the present officers would chip in and make sure Sharon would make it through each meeting. I have just learned of Sharon's passing and am so sorry for your loss.   We used to spend a lot of time together when Julie, Gregg, and Ryan were growing up and before Sharon went back to teaching.  What a fun and delightful person she was!  Always good for a laugh and a shopping excursion!  She was a master at finding bargains!!  I pray God's blessings on your family and look forward to being with my dear friend again one day!

     I'm so sorry to hear of Sharon's death.  She was one of my best girlfriends at Osborn School and Wendell Willkie High School.  I have fond memories of all the fun things and activities we shared.
My husband, Jack, and I always enjoyed catching up with you and Sharon at the high school reunions.  Jack especially liked hearing about your basketball experiences at Broad Ripple HS.  
     Sharon was always cheerful and happy.  Her smile made the day seem better.  She will be missed and we are thinking of you.

We were so sorry to hear of Sharon’s passing. She was such a vibrant person  and so full life. Sharon and I were sorority sisters and roommates our senior year of college. We had such fun together and her laugh was infectious.  I went home with Sharon a number of times during college and felt so welcomed by her loving parents.  
We saw Sharon and Dave a few times over the years but not nearly enough. Virginia is a long way from Indiana.

Hi Dave and family,
What a beautiful picture of Sharon,  with her beautiful smile.  As I always remember her.  It seems like through the years we always kept coming back to each other.  First as teachers in Washington Township, then running into each other in Carmel after you moved back from Crawfordsville, renewing our friendship with both of us teaching in Carmel, being in Tri Kappa and sharing "kid stories."  Sharon will be missed by friends, family and her former students.  She had a gentle way with students under her care.

I was so very sad to learn about Sharon’s passing. I am a teacher that worked with ‘Bootsie’ for many years at College Wood and always loved her stories she told. We enjoyed book club together, and I have many of her recipes which we sampled afterward. She was such a bright light to so many! I am so saddened to see such a loss.

Dear Dave, Juli, Greg and Ryan,

I will always remember meeting the beautiful, cool Aunt Sharon shortly after she and Dave gave birth to  a “new pair of Boots”!  Jim and I were dating in high school then and he always talked fondly of his Aunt Sharon.  She was a lovely woman and left an imprint on many people.  Take comfort from one another while you have this time together.

Dear Dave and family,
Sharon was always a bright spot in everyone’s day. I met her in the Fall of 1962 at Evansville College. We became fast friends and sorority sisters.
I was a bridesmaid in she and Dave’s wedding 53 years ago.
During the college years we had so many fun times together. We even took a girl’s trip to Chicago. We stayed at a fancy hotel, and went to a great play. None of us, Sharon,Barbara, and Marilyn were twenty-one, so we didn’t party too hard.
I will remember Sharon’s sweet smile and how she was so kind to everyone.
I am terribly sorry for your loss, and hope the family can find comfort and strength in your love for Sharon, and each other.

Sharon and I were roommates for our first two years at Evansville College.  When I first heard my roommate was an only child, I thought she would be spoiled and not able to do anything.   Was I ever wrong!!  She was a wonderful roommate and friend!  We would have continued as roommates if I didn't have to move to the
nurses' residence because of my major.   Rest in peace, sweet Sharon!

Sharon and I spent four wonderful years together as pledge sisters and then sorority sisters of Alpha Omicron Pi at Evansville College (now University of Evansville).  We met our future husbands there and have remained in touch ever since.  Sharon’s  enthusiasm for life was infectious.  I loved being around her.   Don and I send our best to Dave, Juli, Greg, and Ryan.  

Aunt Sharon was always a bright star to me, always displaying a smile and warmth to us. She always seemed to handle life’s issues with grace, humility and humor. 
She rests peacefully in the arms of angels now and for that I am thankful, but this world lost one of our best. 


Ron and I are so sorry about the passing of Aunt Sharon. She was sweet, thoughtful, fun, perky, and a joy to be around. We  were blessed to live in the same town as Sharon and Dave and watch their kiddos grow up. Sharon was a great hostess and always fun at family get togethers. We will miss her and are so sorry she won’t be around to enjoy those golden years with Dave and spend more time with Juli, Greg, Ryan and her grand babies.  We love you Aunt Sharon. Thank you for bringing joy and happiness in our lives. We are thinking your perky spirit is blessing many souls in Heaven right now. 🙏

Sharon was such a beautiful friend inside and out.   She was always smiling.   I did visit her Sept 2017 and Sept 2018.   What sweet memories we shared.  Rest In Peace  my dear friend.

Julie, so sorry to hear of your mom's passing.  My sympathy and prayers to you, Ryan and the rest of the family.

I feel so blessed to have had Sharon for my best friend since Jr. Hi school.  We had so many wonderful times together, both working and at play.  Friday nights were almost always spent with Sharon and Dave going to dinner, then a movie or hi sch game, and then off to ice cream or our famous Walmart runs.

We worked together starting Carmel's program for gifted kids and  our inside joke was always : "If they only knew who they had in charge of the gifted program!"  We didn't consider ourselves gifted, but I have to say Sharon WAS a gifted teacher and friend. I miss her so much.  See you again one day, dear friend, and we'll get into lots of mischief again. Condolences to the family, from the class of 1962, our classmate will always be remembered as a true representative of our class.
 So proud to have been around her when we were in school and gatherings afterward. She will leave a void in our lives but will never be forgotten. Rest in heaven dear friend.

Sharon was my neighbor, a colleague, and a Tri Kappa sister. Her smile and her enthusiasm for life were contagious. Sharon was a talented lady. Sending loving thoughts to her entire family.


Sweet Sharon was my first cousin.  She was quite a bit older than I am and there were many miles between us, but I have always thought of her and smiled.  She was delightfully fun, cleverly creative, and always had a beautiful smile on her face!  My siblings and I would always argue, cry, and fight to see who could stay at Sharon’s!  What a wonderful presence she had in this World.  Love you, Sharon!!
