Dear David and Debbie and Nina and Tom,
I read Wanda's beautifully written obituary in yesterday's Kokomo Tribune with interest. I was amazed to learn about all the activities that Wanda was involved in during her long life. She made great contributions to her community, including being one of the founders of the Kokomo Symphonic Society. My oldest daughter Amy Lucas is and has been the Treasurer for many years.
I have thought of Wanda often since Kip died even though we sort of lost touch.
Wanda was very kind to me during the 12 years that Kip and I were together., as was the rest of your family. I appreciated your friendship. I offer my condolences on her loss.

I remember Mrs. Edwards from St. Andrews Church and Bon Air School where she was the music teacher. I sang in the choir at Church under her direction. I remember her as a very loving and patient lady whom I really respected. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

How I loved her. I remember sitting on my porch in Cicero with her and talking about the Lord and our faith for several hours. What a sweet soul. I saw that she played the Timpani and wasn't sure what that was exactly. "Kettledrums" How much fun was that! Hope she can spend some time teaching me that in Heaven. So grateful for you Nina and how you held her so tenderly in your arms. You and Tom , Dave and Deb and each member of your family are so Blessed to have had such a Momma, Grandmomma, Aunt etc...Thankful to have known her and look forward to our meeting again.

'Mrs. Edwards' will forever be in my memory as a very caring and compassionate woman. I was one of Nina's best friends in school and Mr. and Mrs. Edwards were always willing to let me stay when I was having a hard time at home. She will be missed. Rest in Peace Mrs. E.
