Woodbury Thomas Glidden

Tom was born to Rosemary Skowronek and Winston R. Glidden in Lancaster, New Hampshire. However, from school age on, he was raised in the Indianapolis near north side and attended Saint Joan of Arc School, graduating from Cathedral High School in 1968.

From 1967 – 1977, Tom played hockey for the Indianapolis Warriors Club. He attended some college at IUPUI, but then started Glidden Fence Co in 1979 in Hamilton County and worked at it until he passed away from COPD. Tom wished to be cremated.

Tom is survived by two brothers: Winston Robert Glidden and Jeffrey LaVance Charnes; as well as, three children – Wendy Lee Glidden, Woodbury Thomas Glidden II, and Samantha Cady (Glidden) Cooksey; ten grandchildren from Wendy Lee – Cassandra Nicole Weaver, William Joseph Weaver, Tia Rose Brooks, Randy Charles Travis Brooks, Marie Jasmine Lincoln, Marissa Cheyenne Lincoln, Michael Joseph Lincoln, Valerie Rosemary Delilah Lincoln, Jeffrey Thomas Lincoln, Zechariah Jacob James Lincoln. Three grandchildren from Woodbury Thomas II – Breanna Noelle Owens, Alexis Christine Glidden, and Woodbury Thomas Glidden III. Two grandchildren from Samantha Cady – Kathryn Paige Wright and Shannon Romaine Wright. There are five great grandchildren from Cassandra – Colin Matthew Weaver, Cameron Charlie La Vance Weaver, Cheyanne Lynn Christmon, Ciyara Destiny Christmon, Caiden William Jeffery Weaver and Chance Tomas Edwin Weaver; Three great grandchildren from William – Tiara Destiny Samantha Weaver, Carson Joseph Jewel, and Jason Joseph Gary; 1 great grandchild from Breanna – Jameson; and from Colin Mathew Weaver and from Marie Jasmine Lincoln, there are even 2 great great grandchildren respectively.

A memorial visitation for Tom will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Leppert Mortuary – Carmel, 900 N. Rangeline Rd., Carmel, Indiana 46032.
