WILLDING, MARY BARBARA, 78, born on May 11, 1936 in Dallas, Texas, to Mary and Josef Jurosek, who preceded her in death. Devoted to her family, Barbara had a long and full marriage to Donald Joseph Willding, who died June 29, 2003, on their 47th wedding anniversary. Together, Don and Barbara raised two daughters and two sons, and were later blessed with seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren, who filled their family home of 52 years in Farmers Branch, Texas with laughter and joy.
I
n remembrance, Barbara’s granddaughter Brett, wrote: “You were more beautiful than any princess and stronger than any superhero. I am so blessed by your life and so thankful for our times together. I love you so much it hurts … I’ll be seeing you again one day, Barbie Doll.”
Always armed with a box camera at family events, Barbara especially enjoyed taking casual photos of her family and extended family. Her large photo collection, neatly cataloged in a library of albums, captured the moments she loved most – being surrounded by family and friends. She also was fond of animals and especially loved her dog “Woobie,” who was a constant companion at her side. Woobie even managed to sneak into the hospital to pay Barbara a visit on her last day.
Barbara is survived by her children: Monica Anne Willding, Michael Joseph Willding and wife Maria, Elaine Marie Kilbane and husband Tom, and, Peter Thomas Willding; her grandchildren: Ryan Joseph Corl, Krista Elaine Saine and husband Floyd, Meaghen Elizabeth Cain, Cesily Adell Beck and husband Eric, Brett Allyn Cain, Rachel Ann Willding and Merce Emerson Tabor; and, her great grandchildren: Hannah Jolie, Harmoni Jade and Liam Joseph Saine. She also is survived by her sisters-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Addington and Margaret Elaine Smith, her nieces Carole Flynt and Sue Boggan, as well as many more nieces and nephews. Her brother, Joseph Jurosek, preceded her in death.
A visitation will be held on Thursday evening, March 12, 2015, 5-8 p.m., at Rhoton Funeral Home, 1511 South I-35 at Crosby Road, Carrollton, TX, with the Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. A Catholic mass will be celebrated Friday, 1 p.m., at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 14032 Dennis Lane, Farmers Branch, TX.
