Carroll C. Mills passed away on August 18, 2018 at the age of 81.
Carroll is survived by his wife Ruth of 37 years, daughter Lisa (Norb) Mahnke, son Randy Mills, daughter Shannon (Hollis) Mills-Sellman, stepdaughter Diana Dossey, stepson Jeffrey (Michelle) Parker, stepson Paul (Bobbi) Parker, 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, sister Melveda (Jack) Citty, and brother Larry (Gloria) Mills, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Irene Mills.
Carroll was born on September 7, 1936 in Haworth, Oklahoma. He graduated from Idabel High School in 1955. Carroll served in the United States Navy for 4 years and specialized in electronics. During this time he was stationed in Key West, Florida where he was honored with a good conduct medal. He moved to Dallas, Texas after serving in the military. His love of electronics led to a career working at Texas Instruments for 30+ years. “Pop” as he was so lovingly called, enjoyed family events and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30am Tuesday August 28 at Rhoton Funeral Home 1511 S. Interstate 35E, Carrollton, Texas 75006. A 12:30pm burial will follow at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211
