Mr. Bratton is survived by his two children, Susan Bratton Timmons of Dallas, Texas; his son Steve Bratton and his wife Marlys of Plano, Texas. He is preceded in death by his great grandson Jonah Mark Noll, Prairie Village, Kansas.
Charles was born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 25, 1934 to parents Claude Bratton and Marie Bratton. He graduated from the University of Missouri in 1957 with a degree in Business and later served in the army as a Lieutenant stationed in Bad Hersfeld, Germany.
After serving the country he accepted a position as a sales manager with Proctor & Gamble. Charles was also a Senior Market Manager for Hallmark Cards in Kansas City for more than 15 years. He later became a finance account manager for Prudential-Bache and Dane Rauscher in Reno, Nevada. In 2005, Charles moved to San Antonio, Texas to retire and be closer to family.
Charles was active in his community. During his time in Reno, he served as chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and was on the Board of Directors for the Boy scouts of America.
He was a great family man who loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
His loving Grandchildren include Annie Noll and her husband Aaron Noll, Lauren Timmons, Kathryn Garcia, Reid Bratton, Kyle Bratton and great grandchild Harrison Jonah Noll.
Services will be held at the DFW National Cemetery on May 17 at 10:00 am.
