Chester Stanley Iskierski

Chet was a graduate from Lane Tech High School in Chicago. He later went on to serve his country in WWII in the United States Army.

On May 16, 1954 he married the love of his life Pat Beran in Chicago at Blessed Angus Catholic Church, and they had two children Debbie and Michael.

In 1978 while working as a claims supervisor for Gulf Insurance Chet moved his family to Carrollton, Texas. He worked for Gulf Insurance for 36 years.

The Iskierski family was one of the founding families of St. Catherines of Sienna Catholic Church in Carrollton.

From 2004-2005, Chet served as the president of the Carrollton Senior Center. He was instrumental in seeing that the building was built especially for the Seniors of Carrollton.

Chet was an avid dancer, and everyone wanted to dance with him. He was always envolved in his community serving wherever he could. He brought Texas HOldem Poker to the Senior Center and established a regular Card Night.

His word was his bond and his faith was very important to him.

Chet was preceded in death by the love of his life Pat and his parents.

He is survived by Daughter Debbie Jones and Son Michael Chester Iskierski. Grandson Daniel Stephen Iskierski and wife Mariel Uriarte Iskierski and Granddaughter Rachel Caroline Iskierski, and Sister Tonie Taraszka of Chicago.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 7-9 pm at Rhoton Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, March 13, 2014 at St. Catherines of Sienna Catholic Church in Carrollton, Tx with a reception following.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and the Disabled American Veterans in Chet’s Honor.
