

Eileen Denise Hudock Ritter died on Tuesday, April 7, following an extended illness. She was born on April 11, 1932, in Star Junction, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Perryopolis High School, she worked as a bank teller in Uniontown until she married Harry Jack Ritter. In 1963, they moved to Carrollton, Texas. After their two daughters Karen and Marcia were both in school, Eileen resumed her career, working at North Texas State Bank, Dallas County State Bank, and W R Grace before landing at Texas Power and Light (now TXU) where she worked for many years until she and Harry retired. She remained devoted to her children, her grandson, and his family throughout her life. Her most recent church membership was at Holy Covenant United Methodist Church in Carrollton. She moved in 2014 to Lake Kiowa, Texas, with her daughter Karen.
She is predeceased by her husband Harry Jack Ritter, her parents John and Emilia Hudock, her brothers John Hudock and Joseph Hudock, and her sisters Mildred Hudock and Mary Junker. She is survived by her daughters Karen Ritter of Lake Kiowa, TX, and Marcia Ritter Loughry of Carrollton, TX; her grandson Christopher Loughry, his daughter Addison Loughry and son Jackson Loughry, his partner Kim Davis, her daughter Kyra Davis, all of Oak Point, TX; her sisters Kathryn Courney of White Plains, NY, and Margaret Thomas of Anderson, SC; numerous nieces and nephews across the country; and her many friends of many years.
Her family offers their grateful thanks to Drs. Ramona Raj, James Guess, Enrique Perez, Charles Lee, and their staffs and to Solaris Hospice of Gainesville and Decatur.
Family visitation will occur at Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton on 4/11/2015 from 2pm to 4pm. A private burial will occur later at DFW National Cemetery where her husband is buried. In lieu of flowers, her family respectfully suggests contributions to the American Diabetes Association and the American Cancer Society.
