Frank Taylor

Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, July 23 2015 at Rhoton Funeral Home, Carrollton, TX.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 24, 2015 at Rhoton Funeral Home, Carrollton, TX with Robert Stoltz officiating. Burial will follow at Hilltop Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rhoton Funeral Home, Carrollton, TX.

Frank was born in Mangum, OK to Drose and Edna Taylor on September 26, 1932. He graduated from Mangum High School in 1951. He attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX from 1951 until entering the Army in 1953. He married Patsy Ruth Price on January 1, 1953 in Clovis, New Mexico.

He worked 38 years for Safeway, Inc., beginning as a store clerk in Mineral Wells, TX and retiring in 1992 as a District Manager in Rapid City, SD. Frank spent most of his career with Safeway, Inc., in the Dallas, Fort Worth area.

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and served in the Army from 1953 to 1955; and then spent 8 years in the Army Reserve. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

Frank is preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Patsy Ruth Price Taylor, his parent Dorse and Edna Taylor, three sisters Edith Witty, Gertrud Taylor, Myrtle Maddox and Shirley Pace; and three brothers Ed Taylor, Leroy Taylor and Bobby Taylor.

Frank is survived by sons David Taylor (Dana) of Farmers Branch, and Scott Taylor of Carrollton, grandchildren Sheena Taylor of Addison, and Scotty Taylor (Stefani) of McKinney. He is also survived by his sister Caroline Taylor Pace of Indianapolis, IN.
