Frederick Jefferson Roebuck was born March 31, 1939, in Williamston, North Carolina. He passed away October 4, 2023 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

Fred joins in heaven his father, DA Roebuck, his mother Ila Bost Roebuck and his sister Flora Nell Roebuck. He is survived by his wife Sue Short Roebuck, he and Sue’s children Charles Roebuck and wife Niki, Clayton Roebuck, Larry Short and wife Leora, Jeanine Short Thomas and husband Don and their 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Fred and Sue met when Fred moved to Texas in 1978. They were married 44 years. He became an active member of Waterview Church of Christ in Richardson, Texas. He and Sue have so many beloved friends from their church family and neighborhood.

The family is appreciative of and thankful for the caregivers and staff at Arden Court and the incredible people from Pathway Hospice.

Fred will be laid to rest at the Collinsville Cemetery in Collinsville, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital (Fred loved kids) or the Alzheimer’s Association.
