

He was born on April 5, 1968, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Gregory Forster Sr. and the late Roxanne V. Forster.
A Life of Creativity and Joy
Gregory spent his early years in Louisville, St. Louis, and Upstate New York before settling in Carrollton, Texas, which he proudly called home. He was raised alongside his two sisters, Jacqueline (Jackye) Clayton and Lauren McKinney, and remained a devoted brother, son, and friend throughout his life.
A graduate of Newman Smith High School, Gregory earned his B.A. in Mass Communications from Huston–Tillotson University in 1991. He later earned two master’s degrees from Dallas Baptist University, a Master of Arts in Teaching (December 2009) and a Master of Education in Reading & ESL (May 2017) reflecting his lifelong dedication to learning, leadership, and helping others grow.
A true creative at heart, Gregory’s talents knew no bounds. He spent over 15 years in radio broadcasting, charming audiences in Dallas and St. Louis. Known on-air as Mr. Gregory, he hosted The Wind Down on KCLP Fused Radio and lent his voice to dramas, PSAs, and commercials. His acting credits included A Corporate Christmas, Elves of Interlochen, and appearances on the Vid Chronicles web series. Through his company, G-Forse Productions, Gregory created original stories, skits, and voice projects that celebrated humor, heart, and culture.
He also shared his creativity in the classroom, teaching elementary students in the Dallas area including at Nova Academy and working as a private tutor. His students remember him for his patience, positivity, and the way he made learning come alive.
Gregory loved music, theater, and storytelling. He sang with the Vocal Majority chorus and admired the legendary harmonies of Take 6, his favorite vocal group. He wrote church plays, short stories, and comedy sketches, and had a lifelong love of science fiction, especially Indiana Jones and Star Wars. His quick wit and perfect comedic timing made every conversation memorable.
His Light and Legacy
Gregory’s resilience, lighthearted spirit, and humor made him unforgettable to everyone who knew him. He had a way of making people feel seen and special, often breaking into laughter that could fill a room. His presence was magnetic whether through a microphone, a classroom, or a Sunday service.
A faithful member of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, Gregory participated in the drama and music ministries and volunteered for PACE’s African American Read-In. He believed in using his gifts to uplift others, especially youth, through mentorship, laughter, and love.
His favorite thing to say to those closest to him was, “Use the Force.” He has now joined the ancestors and has become one with the Force.

Gregory is survived by his father, Gregory Forster Sr.;
his children, Thelma Forster, Gregory Forster III, and Debo’rah Forster;
his grandchildren, Raelyn Forster and KaMaria Naturi Forster;
his sisters, Jacqueline (Todd) Clayton and Lauren (Dwight) McKinney;
and his beloved nieces and nephews William (Trey), Aminah, Clay, Todd Jr., Avayah, Cassius, Quincy, August, Ahmir, Amari, and Warren.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Roxanne V. Forster.
