

Harold was born in Loreauville, LA to Sidney and Corrine Oubre on March 20, 1929. He graduated from the University of Louisiana in Lafayette. He married Gloria Aucoin on August 24, 1957 in New Iberia, LA. He worked as a Petroleum Engineer for Otis Engineering selling oilfield equipment which took him around the world, but his favorite job came at the end of his career in which he ran the Otis hunting camp in Hamilton, TX. Gloria was a Registered Nurse but retired to raise the family. With five children under the age of 11, they moved to Farmers Branch, TX on August 1, 1968, because of a job transfer. Harold retired from Otis in 1991. He was a Veteran of the Korean War and served in the Air Force. His passions were entertaining family and friends, cooking, gardening, and of course lots of hunting and fishing!!
Harold was preceded in death by his wife Gloria in 1995.
He is survived by his five children: Rene, Missy, Cathy, Mike and Barry and spouses Melissa and Deana, his sister Genevieve Crochet, Grandchildren Kyle, Ryan, Chad, Nathan, Nick, Alaina, Robyn, Justin, Victoria, Ashley and great Grandchildren Payton, Charlie, Axton, BreAnna, Emma and family friends Cheryl Oubre and Barbara Stankoski.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Bailey, Ryan Bailey, Chad Oubre, Nathan Oubre, Nick Oubre and Justin Eichorn.
Memorials may be given to the Nationals Alzheimer's Association in lieu of flowers.
The family of Harold wishes to extends our sincere thanks and appreciation to the entire Memory Care 2nd floor staff at Signature Pointe on the Lake nursing home, where Harold spent his last two years. These are truly some very, very special people!!
