She graduated from Fort Kent Community High in 1951 in Fort Kent, ME. She was at the top of her 8 student class as Valedictorian. She went on to nursing school in New Britain, CT, became a Registered Nurse and worked for years as an operating room nurse. She was united in marriage to Zenon (June) L. Babin, Jr. on February, 26, 1955. Together they raised 6 children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donat Belanger and his wife Lea (Ouellette Belanger Theriault); Step-father, Rene Theriault, brother Godrick Belanger, and sister, Marie (Artlene) (Belanger) Theriault, and grandson, Seth Ward.

Her spirit is carried on by her beloved husband, Zenon “June” L. Babin, Jr. who she was married to for 65 years, 11 months and 12 days, her 6 children: Marc Babin of Carrollton, TX, Curtis Babin and wife Rhonda, of Roanoke, TX, Nona Schroeder and husband Brad of St. Charles, MO, Edie Montgomery and husband Michael of Camdenton, MO., Karen Babin of Colorado Springs, CO, and Kim Ward and husband John of Arlington, TX; 13 Grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Marie (Helena) Rioux of Fort Kent, ME, Marie (Louella) Charette of Bristol, CT, 3 brothers, Lucien Theriault and wife Betty of Plymouth, CT, Merrick Theriault and wife Sandy of Bristol, CT, and Joel Theriault and wife Charlotte of Exeter, ME., cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
