

Howard worked for Equifax for 30 years before taking an early retirement. During his retirement he started his own fire extinguishing company. He was a resident of Farmers Branch for 67 years and a member of First Baptist Carrollton.
Howard is survived by his son, Jason Sickles and his wife, Jan, one daughter Bonnie Brisendine, sister-in-law, Jean Martz, two grandsons, Will Brisendine and wife Lisa and their children Preston and Paisley, and Cody Brisendine and wife Shantel and their children Emma, Abby, and Trystyn.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Pauline Sickles, 3 infant sons, his parents, Mildred and Elizabeth Sickles, son-in-law Harley Brisendine, and brother W.S. Sickles who passed in June 1969.
He was loved deeply and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The family will be receiving friends for visitation and viewing on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Rhoton Funeral Home, 1511 South I-35E Carrollton, Tx 75006. Funeral Services will begin at 10:30 am at Rhoton Funeral Home. A procession will follow the services to Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228, where Taft will be laid to rest. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Judes Childrens Hospital in Memphis, TN.
