

Viewing will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, October 26, 2017 and from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Friday, October 27, 2017 at Rhoton Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ with the Reverend Dominic Phuc Pham of Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rhoton Funeral home.
Hung Le Cao was born in Bui Chu, Vietnam to Hanh Viet Cao and Nhi Thi Lai on December 15, 1935. On May 2, 1960, he married Hong Thi Nguyen at the Church of Joseph in Vietnam. He was a veteran of Vietnam War and served in the Airborne Division. He and his family were part of the Vietnamese boat people who fled Vietnam in 1975. He emigrated to America on May 13, 1975. He was a very creative person and someone that loved to make things using his hands. He played the piano and flute. He enjoyed fishing, taking care of his bonsai trees and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His Catholic faith was very important to him. He was a very active member with the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ in Carrollton, Texas.
He was a loving father, compassionate, patient and devoted man. He was always willing to open his home, wallet and heart to any one in need.
He is survived by his wife, Hong; his four sons and four daughters, The Cao and his wife Kieu Nguyen, Ngoc Cao and his wife Trinh Luu, Loc Cao, Vinny Bui and his wife Trang Do, Huyen Cao, Trinh Cao, Anne Cao and her husband Phong Nguyen, and Kim Cao and her husband Tin Le; fifteen grandchildren, Milan, Chyna, Calvin, Bruce, Dylan, Nathan, Asia, Chloe, Vincent, Kendall, Ava, Reid, Grace, Aiden and Addison; one great-grandson Billy and numerous extended family.
He was preceded in death by his two daughters, Hao Kim and Hoa Hien, parents, his grandparents, two brothers, Thai and Thinh, and one grandchild, Dylena.
We, the family of Hung Le Cao, wish to extend our sincere thanks to all of our relatives, to Medical City of Plano, to all the doctors, paramedics and nurses, his friends, and to the congregation of Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ for their love and support.
