James Gabriel Shandorf died accidentally in Dallas, Texas, on December 21, 2015. He is survived by his parents Thomas and Mariagrazia, his sister Emily, his grandfather Camillo, his aunts Susan, Dianna and Antonella, his uncle Tino, and his cousins Emma, Filippo, and Matthew.
James was born on January 9, 1988 in Bergamo, Italy and grew up in Florence and Pacific Palisades, California. He completed Dante Classical High School at the age of 19, and went on to graduate from the University of California at Los Angeles, and then received two Master’s Degrees from Claremont Graduate University in Mathematics and Financial Engineering. He worked as a quantitative analyst for a large financial services firm in Dallas.
He was gifted and skilled: from sports to finance to family and friends, he was a passionate, restless spirit who lived life to the fullest and will be deeply missed.
