Janice Elizabeth (Holt) Holmes

Janice graduated from Arington Heights High School, 1955 in Ft. Worth. TX. She worked primarily at home raising 5 children, but for a few years she worked at home sewing parkas for the Alaska oil field safety valves. Her primary claim to fame and enjoyment was volunteering at Children's Medical Center in Dallas for 53 years. She also enjoyed painting (in oil) and sewing (mostly quilts).

She is survived by her husband Ernie Holmes and five children: Ernest S. (Sam) Holmes IV, David R. Holmes, Steve L. Holmes, Julie H. Holmes (Stone), Carrie S. Holmes (Benham) and their spouses. She (Mee-Mom)is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Russell and Doris (Crownover) Holt and daughter Laurie E. (Boogie) Holmes.

A Memorial Service will be held at Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton, TX , Saturday July 19, 2025 at 10:30 AM. A reception will be held at Babes restaurant in Carrollton near the funeral home.
