Obituary of Jeanette Cheney Robertson
IN THE CARE OF

Rhoton Funeral Home

Jeanette Cheney Robertson, 65, passed away on 09/25/2025 in Plano, TX after a lengthy illness.

Jeanette was born in Birmingham, AL on 08/03/1960, to William Pleasant Cheney and Helen Cheney. She graduated from RL Turner High School in 1978. Jeanette was married to Ricky Robertson in May of 1998; and they were married until his passing in May of 2009.

Jeanette worked as an insurance agent for Westwood Insurance Agency for 10 years. She loved her job, her coworkers and Westwood. She was an agent for more than 40 years and was known for her excellent ability to sell!

Jeanette was an enigma; a flamboyant personality who loved life. She was funny, insightful and smart. “J” loved her nieces and nephews. She would buy them the best presents, and leave her signature lipstick kiss marks on their foreheads. They loved “aunt Nette”. She also loved her pets and even some who weren’t her pets! She’d even feed the possums and squirrels in her neighborhood. Jeanette’s heart was huge! She helped everyone who asked. Finally, J loved to sing! She had a beautiful voice.

Jeanette is preceded in death by her father, William Cheney, mother Helen Westbrook, sister Helen Cashion, niece Krissy Chambers and many other loved ones.

Jeanette is survived by her significant other, Thomas Carroll, sister Cheryl Suitts and brother William Cheney, nieces Hayley O. Smith and Heather Cheney, nephew Justin Cashion and her great nephew’s Christian Jones, Beckett Smith, and Jett Cashion, and her great nieces, Cecily Lancaster, Ainsley Lancaster and Matilda Lancaster.

There will be a life celebration for Jeanette in the future.
