Jeff E Carver

Jeff Carver, 59, of Allen, Texas passed away May 24, 2015, with family by his side. He was born to Earl and Otha Lee Carver on January 3, 1956, in Lubbock, Texas. He attended Lubbock schools, and married Jone Pritchett on September 17, 1984. Jeff treasured his time singing and playing guitar in a band, earned a Master Technician rating as an auto mechanic, and was a well-known umpire in the baseball community. He was a mechanic for Modern Chevrolet for 17 years. At age 36 Jeff began a new career with Varian Medical Systems, servicing linear accelerator X-ray equipment used in cancer therapy, eventually becoming a successful medical systems business analyst and computer programmer. Most of all he loved and wanted the very best for his family. He was preceded in death by his sister Sharon Carver Dixon in 2003 and his father Earl Carver in 2005. He is survived by his wife, Jone Carver of Allen; his son Michael and wife Kristen Carver of Lantana; his son Cody Carver of Lubbock; his son Tyler Carver of Allen; his stepdaughter Heather Averette and husband Michael of Humble; six grandchildren; his mother Otha Lee Carver of Allen; and his brother Roger and wife Becky Carver of Plano. A Graveside service will be held at the City of Lubbock Cemetery on Monday, June 1st at 3 pm.
