Jerry was born June 30, 1939 and passed away August 24, 2024. Jerry was proud of being a fourth generation Texan and a fourteenth generation American whose forefathers landed in this county in 1647 from England. Jerry is survived by his wife Jackie, five children, nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Jerry served with honor in the United States Marine Corp and was always proud the he had the opportunity to serve his county. Jerry was the first in his family to obtain a college degree and spent most of his working career as a bank executive in California and Texas. After retiring from the banking industry at age 62, he spent the next 11 years as a City of Dallas executive. Upon retiring from the city, Jerry maintained an active consulting business specializing in commercial real estate investments until age 76.
Jerry played sports and actively participated in senior softball, tennis, pickleball, and golf until his passing. He especially loved the time he spent competing with his many friends at Robson Ranch.
Jerry had a saying "The more I know about something, the more I know that I don't know". Jerry loved the act of learning and frequently took on-line courses from universities around the world and was an avid reader. He loved world history.
Through his loving wife, Jackie, he learned to enjoy traveling (somewhat), relax a little, and just smell the roses.
