

Joan Y. Cassell Lovas, age 81, a Carrollton resident, peacefully went to be with her Lord Jesus, forever in heaven, Saturday, June 16, 2012. She was born April 21, 1931 to John and Lucille Cassell in Dallas, Texas.
Joan faithfully served Jesus, in many areas, at the First Baptist Church in Carrollton for over 32 years, and prior to that, many years at Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Cliff.
Preceded in death by her parents, sister Dorothy Cloud and son, Stephen McRoberts, survivors include her husband, Bill Lovas, a sister Anita Bledsoe and husband Bill of Duncanville; a brother-in-law, John Cloud of Cedar Hill, daughters, Beth Armenta and husband Marvin of Phoenix, Arizona and Pat Johnson and husband Mark of Midlothian; a son, Larry McRoberts of Carrollton; a daughter-in-law Barbara McRoberts of Douglasville, Georgia; six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, great nieces and great nephews.
