

John was raised in Dallas, Texas where he attended Skyline High School and graduate in1984. He married Kara (Sartin) June 26, 1999. He was a Warehouse worker at Delivery Solutions of America. Prior to that, he worked at Walmart Neighborhood Market and Minyard’s. His first job was at age 14, collecting golf balls and golf clubs at a miniature golf course.
In his spare time, John enjoyed being in ROTC in high school. It’s something he continued to talk about throughout his life. John also loved to fish, garden, collect sports cards, absorb anything related to The Titanic, and learn about trains. He also loved to spend time with his family.
John’s family and friends will always remember him as an honest, dedicated person, who never met a stranger. He liked to play practical jokes on people and had a joke to tell anytime you saw him.
He is preceded in death by his Aunt Rose Six and his cousin Gerhard Parke. He is survived by his wife, Kara, his devoted puppy, Lucky, mother Eleonore, and sister Ida. He is also survived by his Aunt Hilda, cousins Jackie Bowling, Renee Bogdanowicz, Karen Poland, and sister-in-law, Kathy Petty and family.
Visitation will be held at Rhoton Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, November 25,2025 at 11 am, followed by the funeral service at 12 pm.
