Johnny Lynn Lundberg was born on May 30th, 1950 in Cleburne, TX. He passed away on April 25th, 2020 in Carrollton TX. He was the protecting patriarch of the Lundberg family— balancing a rugged, tough exterior with the tenderness and warmth of the most loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
He was a principled man who taught us to love our family intensely; that a job is finished, not when you’re tired, but when it’s done; and to always act with humility and kindness for others.
His economy of words and deep tones always brought extra weight to his wise advice, words of encouragement, and his validating approval. Knowing Johnny meant that you’d always have someone to help fix what was broken, to be the point man on a golf or hunting trip, to laugh with over a beer and country music, to join in yelling at the TV during a Cowboys game— but most of all to lean on no matter the circumstances.
Ever the protector, he’s promptly returned to his sister’s side to guide her in a new setting, joining Flossie and JW to sit alongside his God Almighty (who he referenced often and emphatically).
He is preceded in death by his parents Flossie Jane Taylor, JW Lundberg and his sister, Judy Martinez. Johnny is survived by his loving wife, Becky Lundberg; his four sons, John Lundberg and wife Sandy of Fort Worth, TX, Bryan Lundberg of Cedarburg, WI, Jeffrey Lundberg and wife, Rebekah, Corey Lundberg and wife Kimberly both sons from Allen, TX; daughter, Casey Munson of Issaquah, WA; brother, Jimmy Lundberg and his wife Julie; sister, Janice Carter and husband Randy; aunt, Betty Clark; eight grandchildren, Dillon, Kathryn, Oliver, Oskar, Jenna, Brianna, Preston and Cash.
A celebration of Johnny’s life will be planned at a later date.
