Judy Ann Price Downey

Judy Ann Downey, 61, the daughter of Charles Joseph and Catherine Marie Post Price, was born in East St. Louis, Illinois September 19, 1948. She passed from this life on Thursday, June 17th in Plano following an extended illness.

Judy grew up and graduated from High School in Belleville, Illinois and attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. She began her accounting career with Bank Mark in St. Louis and married Paul Stephen Downey in Belleville on February 14, 1969. The family moved to Lakeland, Florida in 1972 and then to Mapleshade, New Jersey in 1980. They moved to Dallas from

Cincinnati, Ohio in April of 1984 and Judy completed her accounting career in May of 2009 after working for T.D. Industries for 20 years.

A member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Community in Plano she had also been active in the Association of Women in Construction. Described as a "people person" her interests centered around her love of family, animals and the sport of ice skating.

Judy is survived by her parents Catherine & Charles Price of Sun City, FL; husband Paul of the home, and by her daughters, Cathy Downey of The Colony and Anna Downey of Collingswood, New Jersey; a grandson, Dane Smith also of Collingswood and a brother Darrell Price of Edwardsville, Illinois.

Visitation will be in the Chapel of Rhoton Funeral Home Tuesday, June 22nd from10 a.m. until the service time at twelve noon.
