Kelley Ann Peacock was born on May 25, 1967 in Dallas, Texas. Kelley was the only daughter of parents, Lanny Joe Goodman and Peggy Joyce Goodman. She went to be with our lord on September 19, 2021 in Carrollton, Texas.
Kelley grew up in Carrollton and, like her father, was a self-affirmed proud Texan who also loved claiming her Irish heritage. Kelley attended school at Newman Smith High School where she was active in the school marching band. Kelley played the trumpet and enjoyed making music.
After attending high school, Kelley attended Cosmetology school. She followed in the footsteps of her Grandmother on her dad’s side of the family who was also a Cosmetologist. As years passed, Kelley excelled as a stylist. She had numerous regular clients, many of whom became good friends with her. Kelley never met a stranger and had a gift of conversation.
Kelley met her endless love, Gary Peacock, when she was only 14 and Gary was 13. Kelley and Gary married on September 28, 1991 and remained inseparable from that time forward.
Kelley was preceded in death by her father, Lanny. She is survived by her devoted husband Gary, mother Peggy, brothers Kevin Bryan and Kyle Currey Goodman. Kelley adored her niece, Leigh Ann Peacock and nephews, Preston Chase Peacock, Justus Gage Stanford, Jackson Nathaniel Goodman and Liam Hunter Goodman.
So go and run free with the angels
Dance around the golden clouds
For the lord has chosen you to be with him
And we should feel nothing but proud
Although he has taken you from us
And our pain a lifetime will last
Your memory will never escape us
But make us glad for the time we did have
Your face will always be hidden
Deep inside our hearts
Each precious moment you gave us
Shall never, ever depart
So go and run free with the angels
As they sing so tenderly
And please be sure to tell them
To take good care of you for me
John 16:22
“Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.”
