The son of Charley and Catherine Allen Meek, he was born in Dallas, Texas and grew up in Carrollton. A graduate of R.L. Turner, class of 1972, he was extremely gifted as pianist, singer and composer. In addition to church concerts, he often enjoyed the frequent opportunities to play and sing for the residents of various nursing homes.
He was a training supervisor for various retail sales organizations and a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Preceded in death by his mother, Catherine, in November of 2001 , he is survived by his father, Charles of the home and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Visitation was at the Rhoton Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 25th from 6-8 p.m. and services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 26th at the Rhoton Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Hilltop Memorial Park.
