

Lawrence Francis Hamilton graduated into the presence of Jesus Saturday, May 14, 2011 after several months of hospitalization for a broken leg and heart failure. Mr. Hamilton had become a resident of Carrollton after moving here in September of this year from Moore, Oklahoma where he lived at the Chateau on the Greens, a seniors independent living location
Mr. Hamilton was born in Eakley, OK September 21, 1921 and he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Sherri and Lonnie Loos of Carrollton; a brother Milton and wife Grace Hamilton of Alexandria, LA; three grandchildren, Corey Hamilton of Oklahoma City, OK, Lonai and husband Steven Williams of McKinney, TX and Amber and husband Chris Brott of Rowlett, TX. He is also survived by great-grandchildren Quinten, Kearsten and Braxten Williams, Payton, Presley and Parker Brott and Chastity Penney.
Lawrence grew up on a farm near Carnegie, OK where he lived and worked until drafted in 1942 and served in the US Army in New Guinea and the Philippians during World War II. After coming home in 1945 he and wife Norma (Simpson) moved to Oklahoma City where they lived and raised their two children. Preceding Lawrence in death is his wife of 62 years and son, Lawrence Joe Hamilton who died this past April.
Lawrence having lived 90 years will be missed by many friends and relatives here and in Oklahoma. Services will be Saturday, May 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Rhoton Funeral Home.
