He was born May 23, 1925, in Dallas, Texas to Leroy Hughes, Sr. and Mary Emma Miller Hughes. Leroy married Willie Joe White on November 28, 1946.
Leroy is preceded in death by his daughter Linda Seabolt, three brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife Willie Joe; son, Michael Hughes of The Colony, daughters, Shirley Annett of The Colony and Betty Gilliam and her husband, Steve of Desoto; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 16, 2015, at Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton. Interment will follow at Keenan Cemetery in Farmers Branch, Texas. Reverend Delbert White will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
