

Born Lois Ann Bitterman on February 10, 1947, in San Antonio, Texas, Lois was the beloved daughter of Fred Daniel Bitterman and Ruby Nickel Bitterman. She grew up with a love of learning that would shape the course of her life and career.
Lois earned her degree from Texas A&I University (now Texas A&M University–Kingsville) and dedicated more than 30 years of service to educating young children as an elementary school teacher in Calallen Independent School District. Her patience, kindness, and commitment to her students left a lasting impact on countless families throughout the community.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, David Lee Schultz, and her son, Bryan Dillon. She is survived by her stepchildren, Kimberly Schultz, Ryan Schultz and his wife Debbie, and Rodney Schultz and his wife Rebecca; her daughter-in-law, Patricia Dillon; and six cherished grandchildren (Emily, Cameron, Matthew, Landon, Hayden and Rose) who brought immense joy to her life.
Following her retirement, Lois embraced life with enthusiasm and gratitude. She was an active and valued member of the Heritage Ranch community and a faithful member of Heritage Church, where she found friendship, fellowship, and spiritual encouragement. She enjoyed traveling, baking, and spending time with those she loved. Her warm smile, generous spirit, and genuine interest in others made her a treasured friend, neighbor, and member of her church family.
A memorial service celebrating Lois's life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Heritage Church, 4045 West Eldorado Parkway, McKinney, Texas 75070 at 12:00.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, former students, church family, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Her remains will be laid to rest at a later date in Corpus Christi, Texas, beside her beloved husband, David.
