Margaret Louise Gideon

Margaret Louise Baldwin Gideon, 84, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Heritage Garden, Carrollton, Texas. She was born on June 8, 1932, in National City, California, to Charles and Elizabeth Baldwin.

Margaret grew up in National City, California and moved to Texas in 1964. She was a housewife and blessed the people in the nursing home with her singing. They called her their little song bird.

Margaret married Lester Gideon in 1953 and was married to him for 62 years. She enjoyed reading, crafts and singing. She was involved in church all her life.

Margaret is survived by her three children, James Gideon and spouse, Belinda, Kerens, TX, Cheryl Bryant and husband Jennings (Pete), Shady Shores, TX and Gerald Gideon, Corinth NY, her sister, Elizabeth Giddens, Phoenix, AZ, Grandchildren, Joseph Gideon, Lewisville, TX, Amy Gideon, Lewisville, TX, Jennings Bryant II and spouse Kristen, Lewisville, TX Jennifer Compton and husband Jeremy, Denton, TX, four great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Margaret was preceded in death by her spouse, Lester Gideon, Carrollton, TX, her parents, Charles and Elizabeth Baldwin, El Mirage, California and sister, Jeanette Meeks, Imperial Beach, CA. Visitation will be held 6:00p.m.-8:00p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Rhoton Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Rhoton Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway Dallas, TX 75211 Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 2:15 p.m.
