Martha attended Lynn English High School in Lynn, Massachusetts.
Martha was a stay at home mom for many years raising her children. She also worked in administration for many years and retired from the U.S. Customs Service.
She attended Mary Immaculate Catholic Church from 1972-1990. She also attended other Catholic churches in the many places she lived, including Ave Maria in Ave Maria, Florida.
Her many interests and hobbies included; Being a Pro Life Advocate, member of her church choir, volunteer helping injured Vietnam veterans in Japan in the late 60’s. She taught CCD (Sunday school), volunteer administrator in the offices at Ave Maria Catholic Community in Florida and volunteer seamstress. She enjoyed oil painting and loved travelling all over the world, especially to the Holy Sites.
Special and treasured memories from the family include knowing mom had a servant’s heart. She was steadfast in her faith and was always willing to share with those around her. She taught and lived by the Lord’s greatest commandments to love God with all your heart, soul and mind and to love your neighbor as yourself.
Her spouse, Warren Mass (2021) and Rudluff Chainey Jr. (1987), preceded her in death; parents, Alexander Warren and Mabel Latter Warden; siblings, Raymond Warden, Phyllis Messier, William Warden; daughter, Cynthia Meche; grandchild, Christian Hardage and many other extended family members preceded Martha in death.
She is survived by sister, Shirley Hardwick; children, Michael Chainey, Darlene Suarez, Lisa Hardage; grandchildren, Gabriel Hale, Kyle Chainey, Derek Arneson, Sarah Brannan, Sam Arneson, Jared Arneson, Abigail Gatlin, Alex Renfrow, Devon Moore, Alicia Hardage, Ryan Hardage, Jake Wadlington, Audra LeFever and many nieces and nephews. Her extended family includes great grandchildren, Keats Arneson, Maya Arneson, Sarah Cordell, Caitlin Cordell, Luke Brannan, Ella Arneson, Jack Arneson, Alice Arneson, Sophia Arneson, Brooks Fitts, Elijah Gatlin, Faith Gatlin, Evan Renfrow, Henry Renfrow (due 2022), Adalyn Moore, Tailynn Wadlington.
Celebration of life services to be held Monday February 7, 2022 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church with burial following at Calvary Hill at 3:00 pm.
Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday February 6 from 4:00-7:00 pm
