

Mary Frances was born September 20, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the first born child to Wilbert and Mary Hermes.
Born and raised a Catholic, she remained so very true to her faith. For 33 years, she was a faithful member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Coppell, Texas. Mary Frances was an active member over the years involved in numerous activities including finance committee, cantor, lector, catechesis for kindergarteners, craft club, welcome ministry and Eucharistic Minister. Mary Frances volunteered wherever there was a need.
She was currently employed as Controller of Eland Energy, Inc., Dallas, Texas. Her working career was spent involved in the oil and gas industry.
Mary Frances was a very active member of COPAS, (Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies, Inc.) for numerous years and was currently serving on the board of directors.
Mary Frances was passionate about many activities and had numerous interests. Mary Frances loved anything angel, was gifted in sewing and quilting, enjoyed card making and scrapbooking, and celebrated Christmas with a passion. Mary Frances was gifted both intellectually and artistically.
Mary Frances was passionate about her God, her Church, and her family and certainly her chosen profession. She especially doted on her nieces Victoria and Holly.
Mary Frances will be missed by her family, coworkers and friends. Someone once wrote: "our loved ones do not make our lives – but loving them does. Death cannot take that away".
Mary Frances was preceded in death by her father, Wilbert Hermes; mother, Mary Hermes; and brother, Jerome Hermes. Mary is survived by Cecilia Hermes of Farmers Branch, Father Thomas Hermes of Montrose, Missouri, Herbert Hermes and his wife Susan, their two daughters Victoria and Holly of Grants Pass, Oregon, Dolores Crehan and her husband Austin J. Crehan, Jr. of Mansfield, Texas
