Mike Cooner

A memorial service has been planned for Thursday August 16th at 11:00 a.m. at the McDermott Road church of Christ in Plano, Texas with Mark Bryson, minister of involvement, officiating.

A resident of the Dallas area since 1978, Mike was a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where he received a Bachelors of Business Administration degree.

After a career with GTE, he became self employed until his death.

Mike married Grace Kimes on May 7th 1988 in Dallas.

An avid baseball fan, he loved to watch and coach his son’s little league teams and loved the technical aspects of the game. Mike also loved to read and work on the computer.

He is survived by his wife Grace and son Reid. Brothers, Steve and his wife Brenda of Dallas, and Greg and his wife Courtney of Wichita Falls. He is also survived by 4 nieces and 3 nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his father Warren in 2001, and his mother Louise in 2010.

Mike will be dearly missed by his friends and family. He had a gentleness and a kind spirit that made him very unique.

In lieu of flowers, a college account has been established at the American National Bank of Texas, 301South Highway 78 in Wylie Texas 75098, in the name of Michael Reid Cooner.
