Myrtle Elaine Jenkins

Myrtle Elaine Jenkins left for her eternal home on January 20, 2025. She was born to William Thomas Adams, Jr. and Hazel Delfrenia Mills on January 31, 1937, in Austin, TX. A full life was lived by Elaine as a daughter, wife, mother, teacher, grandmother and great-grandmother. Elaine and Jerry Jenkins were founding members of St. Andrews Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and traveling along with spending time with family and life-long friends. Elaine is survived by her husband of 44 years, Jerry Jenkins; her daughter, Dana L. and R. E. Watson, Jr.; Teri D. and her late husband Mike Estes; and Sharyl R. Dawkins. In addition, grandchildren; Anna L. and Tyler Hindman, Matthew E. Watson; Bladen, Paris and wife Dana, and Georgia Estes; Emilye Elaine and Johnny J. Dawkins; Lindsay Vineyard-Thakur; and four great grandchildren who will miss her presence. Elaine is also remembered by her half-sister, Barbara Simmons and half-brother, William Thomas Adams III and wife Elaine. Preceding her in death was her son, Charlton Blake Vineyard. A Visitation will be held at Rhoton Funeral Home on Monday January 27, 2025 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in her honor on Tuesday January 28, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Rhoton Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Hilltop Memorial Park – Carrollton, TX.
