Otela ‘Teak’ Cleaver Reeves, age 86, passed away on November 13, 2025. She was born on October 1, 1939 in Dexter New Mexico to Odell and Dorthy Cleaver. She married Gary Reeves on October 18, 1959 and spent roughly the next 20 years as a serviceman’s wife raising two sons.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Roger Cleaver and her husband Gary.
Teak is survived by her two sons, Clinton Reeves of Duncan, Oklahoma and Michael Reeves of Dallas Texas, her sister Pat Jennings of Paoli, Oklahoma, a granddaughter as well as a long list of nieces, nephews and friends.
She was a loving and devoted wife and mother.
There was rarely a crossword puzzle she couldn’t conquer and a lively game of Scrabble always put a smile on her face.
