Phyllis Carol Barr

Phyllis Carol Barr, 69 years of age, was accepted into Heaven surrounded by her family on Thursday, September 20, 2012 in her home in Carrollton, TX after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Phyllis was born February 25, 1943 in Johnstown, PA. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary A. Smith and father, Robert B. Smith as well as two sisters, Twila Smith and Reta Wess and one granddaughter, Blake Barr. Those left to cherish her loving memories are her two brothers, Ronald and Gregory Smith and three sisters, Shirley Barringer, Patricia Bakale, and Veronica Serre. She is also survived by her four sons, Raymond Barr and wife, Robin; Craig Barr and wife, Patty; Travis Barr and wife, Kendall; and Bart, as well as her only daughter Tiffany Rash and husband Mark. She also leaves behind eleven grandchildren who were a great source of love and pride in her life as she watched them grow. Phyllis will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 23 at the Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton, TX. Funeral services to celebrate Phyllis’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 24 at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Dallas, TX.
