

MOSMAN, Richard Albert passed peacefully March 2, 2015, in Dallas. Richard was born October 7, 1929, in Gainesville, Texas. After his military service with the U.S. Air Force, Richard graduated from North Texas State University in 1956. He was a successful amateur golfer, baseball pitcher and softball player. Richard was well known among the Texas golf community winning many amateur State and National golf tournaments throughout his life. He continued to be active as a competitive player and in a leadership role with the U.S. Senior Challenge Golf Association as a Director Emeritus and was honored by that organization as Challenge Man of the Year in 2011. After a successful career in the Oil and Gas Industry which included a stint as President of Oil Industry Computer Services and as owner and principal of RAM Systems, Richard was most recently retired. However, being a renaissance man, he was very active not only in other business ventures, but enjoyed writing songs, essays and books. Richard is survived by his wife Dana, son Richard Mosman and his wife Lisa, daughter Caron Johnston and her husband Mark, step children Karen Matthews and her husband Dean, Karla Lowe, and Kevin Cooley and his wife Sherri. Grandchildren Colby Stamp, Richard Joel Mosman, Alexa Johnston, Brenton Johnston, Marin Mosman and Jack Johnston and great grandchildren Nicole Mosman and Annabelle Johnston. Step grandchildren Adrian Lowe, Sean Lowe, Cheyenne Cooley, Josh Rivers, Amanda Cooley, Samantha Cooley and step great granddaughter Arianna Marie Long. Visitation is March 5, 5pm-8pm at Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton, Texas. Burial service is March 6, 9:15am at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. A memorial service is scheduled for March 7, 12pm at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Farmers Branch, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society.
