I knew Dick through the Herb Society, and what a delightful man he was. Always so friendly, and could talk on any subject, all the ladies loved to see him there on the front row!  We will miss him!  Jean Bazar

Dick was a valued member of the Austin Forum and loved to play Chicken Foot and Bunco, especially when he won.  So sorry to hear of his illness and am glad he wasn't alone in his final days. I have known Dick for many years, both as a neighbor and as a fellow member of Sunday school class. He was always friendly with a big smile on his face. His death is a big shock and I wish to express my condolences to family members. He will be missed. Janet Reinhart

We were so sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad. We read about it too late to go to the funeral, and be able to give our condoences in person.
Your Dad was a wonderful man, we always enjoyed our time with him. He was also instrumental in hepling us settle & find a home in Austin. The time spent with your family is very special to us.

I am sorry for the loss of your father, My deepest sympathy on your loss. Dick was a fellow collector and member of the Austin Forum. He will be missed for his interests and love of learning about old things.

I met Dick at the Austin Herb Society and found him to be an interesting, inquisitive and knowledgeable man. The ladies always outnumbered Dick at the meetings, but that didn't bother him and he always fit right in.  We were saddened to hear of his illness and death. He was a kind and gentleman and will be greatly missed.
We share in the sorrow that you feel today and hope it will comfort you to know how much others care. Our thoughts & prayers are with you.
