In his early years he was a banker at Southwest Bank in Topeka, Kansas. He moved to Texas with his family in 1977 where he was at First National Bank of Grapevine for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Patricia and granddaughter, Emilie.
He is survived by his brother, Steve and wife, Susan and their children and grandchildren; daughter, Cynthia Newell and husband Charles; Sons, David MacElvaine and Scott MacElvaine; grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson, Jerry Johnson, Rachel Jones and husband, Derek, Ryan MacElvaine and wife, Claudine, Alex MacElvaine, Chess MacElvaine, Scarlet Jericho and many great grandchildren.
A memorial service for Robert will be held Friday, April 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Rhoton Funeral Home, 1511 South I-35E, Carrollton, TX 75006.
