Roderick Ende Ulrich

Rod was born in Atlanta, Georgia on March 14th, 1957, to Lud and Audrie Ulrich. He graduated high school from W.T. White. Rod was married to Vickie Lynn Gilbert on February 25th, 1978; they were married 47 years.

Rod worked many roles for the family business, most notably Southwest Electronix for 36 years. He later joined the Carrollton / Farmers Branch School District as a bus driver for 11 years. He took great pride in working for the community, assisting special needs children and playing Santa around Christmas. He enjoyed music, playing the guitar, cooking, golf, going on an adventure, and all things handy.

Rod is preceded in death by his parents, Ludwig and Audrie Ulrich, and brother-in-law Scott Gilbert.

Rod is survived by his wife, Vickie Ulrich, sons Tony Bagwell and Mathew Ulrich, daughters-in-law Chris Bagwell and Sarah O’Dwyer, grandchildren Cody Bagwell, and Jack and Matt McDonnell, brothers Craig and Lud Ulrich, Sister-in-law Belinda Ulrich, nephews Ben and Spencer Ulrich and Taylor Gilbert, and niece Melissa Gilbert, and other family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony for Rod Ulrich is scheduled for Saturday April 19th at 2pm at Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton, TX.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made "in Memory" of Rod to Operation Kindness.
