Rudy was born in Dallas, TX on July 17, 1944, to Melecio and Lucy Reyna. He graduated from Crozier Tech High School where he studied to be an automotive mechanic. Rudy was married to Marilyn on June 24, 1964; they were married 59 years.
Rudy worked as a Ford mechanic for several years before starting his own company selling used cars and tinting windows. He had a love of sports, this included sponsoring a softball team, attending all the kids’ games and watching the Dallas Cowboys or the Texas Rangers play each week. He enjoyed working in the yard, planting flowers and tending to his garden. He loved spending time with his grandsons when they would pop over for a visit and he would secretly hand them a $20 bill. He spent countless hours on YouTube and was sure he would be ready for the next Big Texas Freeze. One of his favorite things to do was going on road trips to California where they made many stops along the way. He never met a stranger and those that knew him said he had a great sense of humor, would always lend a hand and always said to stay positive. He truly loved his family.
Rudy is preceded in death by his parents; Melecio and Lucy Reyna; brothers; Gilbert, Manuel and Jimmy Reyna and sister Rosemary (Candy) Estrada.
