Scott Nielsen

He was born to the late Jack and Marcella Nielsen in Onawa, Iowa on January 6, 1947. He was preceded in death by parents and his sister Jacqualine Nielsen-Josel.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years; Linda Nielsen and his three children, Erica Fisher and husband Tony of Euless, TX; Jeremy Nielsen and wife Niki of Corinth, TX; and Lauren Polichetti and husband Peter of Flower Mound, TX. He is also survived by his 6 very precious grandchildren: Marisa, Madison, Kyle, Taylor, Ava and Emily, brother-in-law Nat Josel and his dear friends Tom and Theresa Golder and their family.

Scott was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, shooting, visiting with family and friends, singing and playing his guitar. He was a musician in his early career and then worked as a building contractor.

A memorial service in Scott’s honor will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 8th at Rhoton Funeral Home, 1511 S. Interstate 35E, Carrollton, TX.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Nielsen Family Memorial Fund, 3609 Arbor Creek Lane, Flower Mound, TX 75022.
