

Sharon “Mema Sharon” was born in Dallas, Texas on November 6, 1943. She was the daughter of Edwin Leigh Battaile and Mary Kathleen Bost Meyer. She graduated from R. L. Turner High School in Carrollton Texas in 1963. Sharon was married to Errol Duncan on June 23, 1962; they were married 15 years.
Sharon worked as a Production Manager for B&B Graphic Finishing Services, Inc. for over thirty years. Sharon enjoyed many hobbies and interests; from collecting antiques and reading novels to meeting her cousin Judy for breakfast on the weekend. What Sharon enjoyed most was shopping with her mother Mary and spending quality time with her daughters, Natalie and Tammy.
Mema Sharon adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. With Mema Sharon, every day was a “Yes” day. “Mema” enjoyed fulfilling any request, including but not limited to; eating at a new restaurant, shopping, grabbing ice cream, going to the movies, going to concerts and amusement park trips.
Sharon never missed an opportunity to look you in the eye, hug you and tell you how much she loved you. Her smile, laughter and giving spirit will be missed but not forgotten.
Sharon is preceded in death by her grandson Anthony, her brother Kenneth, her mother Mary.
Sharon is survived by her dad, Edwin Battaile, her brothers William and Tristan Battaile, her sister, Samantha Battaile, her daughters Natalie Chavira and her husband George, Tammy Sick and her husband Randy, grandchildren Steven Chavira and his wife Razsan, Michael Chavira and his wife Jessica, Caleb Sick and Sarah Sick. Great grandchildren Milah and Lolah Chavira, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation Tuesday, August 6, 2024,11:00 a.m. at Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 6th, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton. Sharon will be laid to rest Tuesday, August 6th, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at Hilltop Cemetery in Carrollton.
