Shirley Jean Henson

Shirley was raised in Potosi, Missouri. She married Marvin Henson on May 19, 1950 and had 2 children together, Alan and Marilyn Henson.

The Henson's spent much of their life doing mission work for the BMA in Brazil. They also worked with churches in Missouri and Texas.

After the unexpected passing of her husband Shirley decided to move to Texas where she settled in Carrollton to be closer to her children and grandchildren.

Shirley was known for her ability to hold a conversation with anyone she met, and in her spare time she enjoyed a good book.

Shirley is preceded in passing by her husband, Marvin Henson, her son, Alan Henson, her parents, and two sisters.

She is survived by her daughter; Marilyn Bradley, son-in-law; John Bradley, grandchildren; Trudy Hanson (Dan), Taylor Henson (Angela), and Jaclyn Bradley, along with 4 grandchildren.

A memorial service for Shirley will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church at The Field, 1401 Carrollton Pkwy, Carrollton, Texas 75010.
