Terry Garnand Vaziri was born on July 13, 1950, in Campbell, Nebraska, to Clarence and Marjorie Garnand. She grew up in Red Cloud, Nebraska, with her younger brother and sister, Douglas Garnand and Maryetta Trambly. Terry graduated from Red Cloud High School in 1968 and then attended the Grand Island School of Business. Upon graduating, she accepted a job in Pierre, South Dakota, with the Office of the State Auditor. She later moved to Amarillo, Texas, to study Accounting at West Texas A&M University. Terry relocated to Dallas after she was hired by the accounting firm, Lane Gorman Trubitt L.L.C. In Dallas, she met her husband, Farhad Vaziri, whom she married in 1986. In 1989, she gave birth to a son, Cameron, who was followed by a daughter, Maryam, in 1992. In 1998, Terry began working at the international law firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld L.L.P. where she worked for twenty years until retiring as Director of Tax in August of 2018. She passed away on August 8, 2019, in Dallas, Texas. Terry enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends from around the world. Funeral services will be 12pm, Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Grace Lutheran Church, 1200 E Hebron Pkwy, Carrolton, Texas 75010. Reception to follow at Villa Mediterranean Grill, 6505 W Parker Blvd, Plano, Texas 75093.
